Relocating to Hampton Roads? Let Me Be Your Advance Team.
You’re managing orders, a new job or a whole family move from hundreds of miles away. I’m already here. I’ll scout the neighborhoods, walk the homes and ask the questions you’d ask if you could be here yourself, so when you arrive, the hard part is already done.
Moving Here Sight-Unseen Is a Lot to Trust to a Listing Photo
Photos don’t show you the road noise, the bridge-tunnel commute or the flood zone two streets over. From out of state, it’s hard to tell a great neighborhood from one that just photographs well.
Hampton Roads is seven cities and dozens of distinct communities, and each one lives differently. Where you land shapes your commute, your schools, your weekends and your resale down the road. You need someone on the ground whose judgment you can trust.
- Real drive times at rush hour, including tunnel traffic
- Flood zones, drainage and what insurance may look like
- Road noise, flight paths and what’s going in next door
- HOA rules, neighborhood feel and resale considerations
- Whether the home is worth flying in for, or worth passing on
When You Can’t Be Here, Who You Trust Matters More
When you relocate, your agent stops being a door-opener. I become your stand-in: I walk through the home you can’t see, meet the inspector you’ve never met and tell you what I’d tell my own family. That only works if you can count on me to be straight with you, including when the answer is “keep looking.”
I’ve lived the military move from both sides, as a Navy kid and as a Navy spouse. I know what it’s like to buy around a report date, juggle BAH and a VA loan, and set up a home before the moving truck even arrives. I don’t treat your move like a transaction. I handle it like I’m the one moving.

Relocation Questions, Answered
Can I buy a home in Hampton Roads without seeing it in person?
Yes, and plenty of military families do. Between live video tours, detailed in-person previews, inspections I attend on your behalf and remote closing options, buying from out of state is very workable. I’ll always tell you when a home is worth flying in to see.
Which city is best for my base?
It depends on your base, budget, schools and how you feel about tunnel traffic. Book a call and I’ll give you a short list of neighborhoods with real commute times from each.
Can I use my VA loan here?
Yes. I’ll connect you with lenders who close VA loans regularly and understand military timelines, BAH and PCS paperwork.
How far ahead should I start?
Ideally 60–90 days before your report date. Earlier is better if you want to buy instead of renting first, or if you’re selling a home where you are now.
What if renting first makes more sense?
Then I’ll tell you. If renting first is the smarter move for your timeline or finances, I’ll point you to trusted local resources and we’ll plan your purchase for when you’re ready.
What does it cost to work with you?
Let’s talk it through on your call. I’ll explain how buyer representation works in Virginia and what to expect, clearly and before you sign anything.
Your Move Starts With One Conversation
Tell me where you’re coming from and when you need to be here. I’ll handle the legwork on this end.
